PECKS MILL, W.Va. — Mr. Johnny E. Mullins, 80, of Pecks Mill, was born August 15, 1929, at Logan, a son of the late Mont and Julia Lawson Mullins Crum. He departed this life Thursday, January 14, 2010, at St. Mary’s Medical Center at Huntington.Also preceding him in death were two sons, William “Billy” Mullins and Johnny E. “Butch” Mullins Jr., and one grandson, Josh Mullins. Mr. Mullins was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during World War II, and a retired coal miner from Westmoreland Coal Company. He was a member and elder at the Chapmanville Church of Christ at Chapmanville and a member of the Manila Church of Christ and the UMWA. Survivors include his wife, Doreen L. Hall Mullins; three grandsons, Shawn Mullins, Chris “Sam” Mullins and Chance Mullins; one granddaughter, Julia Brooke, and four great-grandchildren, Summer and Conner Mullins and Jacob and Sarah Mullins. Memorial services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Saturday, January 16, at the Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville with Mr. Danny Godby officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
