RACINE - Okey V. Gillenwater Jr., 77, of Racine, Boone County, died Dec. 1, 1998, in General Division, CAMC, after a short illness.
He was retired from Union Carbide, South Charleston, with 30 years' service, attended First Baptist Church, Rainelle, was past master of Masonic Lodge 158, Chelyan, past patron of Eastern Star Chapter 101, Chelyan, and a member of Beni Kedem Shrine and Scottish Rite bodies.
Surviving: wife, Wenona Payne Gillenwater; daughter, Carol Seaton of Cross Lanes; brother, Jack W. Gillenwater of St. Albans; granddaughters, Jennifer Seaton Colquitt of Huntington, Andrea Seaton of Arlington, Va.
Graveside service, with Masonic rites by Lodge 158, will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, with the Rev. Roger Tinnel officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet, where there will be an Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m. Procession will depart the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Thursday.
