Survivors: her husband, Clyde Lafferty of Florida; sons, Dean and Gene Lafferty, both of McCombs; brothers, Willis Blankenship of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Glendale Blankenship of Pikeville, Ky.; a sister, Cleo Sublett of Vinton, Va., and two grandchildren. Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 1994, at the Pike County Funeral Home Chapel, Zebulon highway, with ministers Jim Smith and Virgil Hunt officiating. Burial: Lafferty and Ratliff Cemetery at McCombs under Pike County Funeral Home's direction. Visitation: After 6 p.m. tonight at the funeral home chapel.       Mrs. Maggie Runyon, PIKEVILLE Funeral services were held Wednesday for Mrs. Maggie Runyon, 85, of Gulnare, at the home of her son, Mosley Runyon at Gulnare, with the Revs Everett Brown, Johnny Conley and Henry Crider, officiating. Mrs. Runyon died of a cerebral hemmorage at 6 o'clock at her home after being ill for one week. Mrs. Runyon was born at Gulnare on Dec 22, 1865, the daughter of Mose and Millie (Ratliff) Harville. She was a lifetime resident of Gulnare. She is survived by five sons, Mosley and Joe, both of Gulnare; Orville of Shelbianna, Ballard of Shelbianna; and Ben of Gallipolis, Ohio; four daughters, Mrs. Zella Clark and Mrs. Elpha Clark, both of Coal Run, Mrs. Violet Scalf of Endicott, and Mrs. Lilly Blankenship of Thomas, three brothers, Robert Harville of Gulnare, William Harville of Betsy Layne and James T. Harville of Richlands, Va. Burial followed in the Scott Cemetery at Gulnare, with the Call Funeral Home in charge.

Born Aug. 18, 1897, she was a daughter of the late James and Maggie Howell Runyon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Blankenship and a son, Oliver Blankenship. She is survived by four sons, Thomas Blankenship of Virgie, Willis Blankenship of Ypsilanti, Mich., Glen and Willie Blankenship both of Lafferty of Endicott and Cleo Sublett of Thaxton, Va.; two brothers; Joe and Moses Runyon, both of Pikeville; 30 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, 1986, at the Gulnare Freewill Baptist Church will Bill Maynard and Melvin Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Blankenship Cemetery on Lower Johns Creek. Arrangements are under the direction of the Johns Creek Funeral Home of Meta. The body is at the church for visitation.
      Notes: There is a typo on her mother's maiden name. It should have been listed as Harville. Additionally, she had another son, James Wiley, who died as a one-year-old from dysentery and measles in 1923, who is not listed here, but for whom a death certificate proves his parentage.
